How to find an English-speaking wedding celebrant in Italy
Italy is a fantastic place to get married with a huge choice of romantic locations and venues. From Lake Como in the North via Tuscany and the Amalfi coast to mysterious Puglia in the South. But how do you choose a celebrant to make your perfect day complete? If you’re using an Italian wedding planner then they are likely to recommend someone local who they know. But how well will they know you and your culture? You will of course have much more choice if you search for a celebrant in your home country, but how will they adapt to Italian culture? And do you really want to pay your celebrant to have a holiday?
Why choose me?
That’s where I come in – as well as being a trained and very experienced celebrant, I lived in Puglia in the South of Italy for fifteen years and am well-versed in Italian language and culture. I have led many symbolic weddings all over Italy, including a remote valley in Sardinia, Tuscany and the fabulous Castello Monaci in Puglia. I have also acted as the translator for an Italian civil wedding after which I segued into a more personal symbolic ceremony.
As a result of my experience, I can design and deliver a beautiful ceremony and also advise you on a whole range of issues – such as why an Italian wedding cake can be a huge disappointment if you are not prepared for it. How it works
The process is the same as for one of my weddings in the UK and we can even meet in person to discuss and plan the ceremony, if you are based in England. As part of the planning process, I can also advise on venues, travel and accommodation.
I am happy to work with Italian wedding planners and also with couples who decide to “freestyle” and book their own accommodation and wedding venue. An Italian wedding doesn’t have to cost the earth, especially if you have an elopement in mind and a sense of adventure.
Because I know the country and how to live and move around at the best rates, I am able to charge a fixed price. This is payable in British pounds as shown on my “weddings” page, so you know exactly where you stand. To find out more send me an email or DM, give me a call or fill out my contact form.
