As a humanist celebrant I’ve helped hundreds of families and couples do justice to the big occasions in life – birth, partnering and dying – what some call the “rites of passage”. I absolutely love my work because I know it can make a difference to people’s lives. I put my heart and soul into it and I get huge job satisfaction.

This is for humanist celebrants in the East Midlands only I’m afraid. One of the things I really value about being a humanist celebrant is the support we can get from being part of network of like-minded people - and sometimes it can get lonely out there.
@katieislescelebrant as you posted an AI version of the wedding breakfast beneath the olive trees I couldn't resist posting a couple of real ones. TBH though I don't have a perfect location because for me the interest lies in the couple and how they make their choices. Mind you there's a lovely spot near our old home in Puglia with fantastic views out over the coastal plain and the Adriatic. There's even a couple of picnic tables and it's far off the tourist track. So if anyone fancies a discrete elopement let me know. I can recommend all the best local restaurants too! #HumanistCelebrant
I thought I’d do this for Remembrance Sunday - an event I feel ambiguous about these days when everyone who died seems to be treated as a hero rather than a victim.
